Environmental dredging services are performed using a state-of-the-art hydraulic Nessie dredge that is capable of removing contamination from targeted areas, minimizing re-suspension of small sediment particles that may be contaminated with PCBs, heavy metals, or other toxic materials.
- Dredge cutting head dislodges and dilutes sediment into slurry
- Dislodged material is pumped into an on-land dewatering catch basin or dewatering bins
- Dewatering process retains heavy metals, suspended solids, and petroleum hydrocarbons
- Purified water is released back into original water body
